Acceptable Use Policy

Usage standards for PushFire push and email notification workflows, APIs, and campaigns.

Revised

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements our Terms of Service and describes the conduct and usage limits that apply to all users of PushFire (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to comply with this AUP. We may update this AUP from time to time without amending the Terms of Service; the version posted on this page is the version in force.

1. Overview

PushFire is a visual push and email notification platform operated by Flywheel Studio LLC ("PushFire," "we," "us," or "our"). The Service includes the web console at console.pushfire.app, APIs, SDKs, workflow automation, broadcasts, audience management, connectors, and related tools.

This AUP applies to everyone who uses the Service, including account owners, team members, API consumers, and anyone acting on your behalf through your project credentials, SDK tokens, or verified sending domains.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use the Service, or allow anyone using your account, project, API keys, SDK tokens, connectors, or verified domains, to:

  • send push notifications, emails, or other messages that contain malware, ransomware, phishing attempts, credential harvesters, or other harmful or deceptive content;
  • distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or that infringes intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights;
  • send spam, unsolicited bulk push or email messages, or campaigns that violate anti-spam and messaging laws, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, PECR, and applicable local consent requirements;
  • message individuals who have not provided valid opt-in consent, including purchased, scraped, or rented contact lists;
  • distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that exploits minors, or content that incites violence or terrorism;
  • impersonate another person, brand, or organization in notification content, sender identities, or verified sending domains;
  • circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, role-based access controls, or delivery safeguards of the Service or any integrated third-party platform such as Firebase Cloud Messaging or Resend;
  • use the Service to attack, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without authorization;
  • use deceptive deep links, cloaked destinations, or misleading notification payloads to evade safety checks, app-store policies, browser protections, or recipient expectations;
  • collect, store, or process End User personal data in violation of applicable privacy laws or your own privacy commitments;
  • resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan and our written agreement.

3. Fair Use Thresholds

PushFire plans include subscriber limits and feature allowances that define typical usage for each tier. Sustained usage materially above the limits associated with your plan is not automatically a violation, but it may trigger an account review, a request to upgrade, or rate-limiting under the Fair Use clause of our Terms.

  • Subscriber volume: exceeding the subscriber cap for your plan (Free: up to 10,000; Growth: up to 100,000; Scale: up to 250,000 per project), or rapid bulk imports consistent with purchased-list acquisition rather than organic product growth.
  • API requests: short-term bursts above documented per-key rate limits, or sustained API throughput materially above the limits associated with your plan.
  • Broadcasts and campaigns: message volumes, frequencies, or audience targeting patterns inconsistent with legitimate product or marketing use.
  • Workflow executions: automation patterns consistent with abusive messaging infrastructure, click fraud, or platform load testing rather than genuine user engagement.
  • Email sending: volumes or sending domains inconsistent with verified connector configuration, domain reputation best practices, or normal product use.
  • Analytics and event data: retention or export activity beyond the allowances included with your plan.

The specific numeric limits for each plan are published on our pricing page and in your dashboard, and may be updated as the Service evolves.

4. Automated Traffic and Delivery Events

Delivery events, opens, clicks, and workflow triggers generated by bots, headless clients, security scanners, preview agents, or other non-human activity may be filtered from analytics or excluded from usage calculations. We reserve the right to discount, charge for, or block traffic and delivery activity that we determine in good faith to be inflated, fraudulent, or non-human.

5. Enforcement

If we believe that your usage violates this AUP or the Terms of Service, we may, at our discretion and depending on severity:

  • contact you to discuss the activity and request remediation;
  • throttle or rate-limit affected projects, workflows, broadcasts, connectors, domains, or API keys;
  • disable specific campaigns, connectors, domains, or API keys;
  • require an upgrade to a higher plan that better matches your usage; or
  • suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, where the activity poses an immediate risk to the Service, other users, End Users, or third parties.

Where practical we will give you an opportunity to address the issue before taking action, but we may act immediately in cases involving security risks, abuse, illegal content, or threats to Service availability.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you believe a PushFire account, campaign, notification, or verified domain is being used in violation of this AUP, please report it to support@pushfire.app with the relevant project, message example, domain, or API activity and any supporting context. We investigate reports promptly and will take action where appropriate.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or our operational practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this AUP was last revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
